OUR COLD SPRINGS MINT VODKA PROCESS

Mint is a $40 Million dollar industry in Oregon and is a regular of our flavored vodka series. 1 of 4 Mint growing areas in Oregon is located about 15 minutes west of our headquarters in Pendleton in the town of Cold Springs. The mint is grown and processed into an oil for the production of toothpaste, gum, mouthwash, and of course our vodka.

We proof down about 500 gallons of our grain neutral spirit, which you can learn more about here, to 80 proof in our pot still. Then we add a very small amount, only a few ounces, of both peppermint and spearmint oil to the wash. We use our still’s agitators to mix the wash for a few hours before redistilling the wash to infuse the grain spirit with the mint flavor and voila, a beautifully balanced and delicious mint vodka perfect for mojitos, mint hot chocolate, and all your favorite mint cocktails.

DISTILLER’S NOTES

During the summer months, Eastern Oregon is treated to the delightful aroma of fresh peppermint and spearmint wafting from the fields. Paying homage to the local mint growers, we worked hard to capture that refreshing experience in a bottle. This vodka is infused with a blend of two types of mint to create an invigorating flavor we hope you enjoy as much as we did creating it.

Our Cold Springs Mint Vodka is an experience of intense freshness. Beautifully smooth and refreshing, the mint is a fantastic complement to fresh fruits and desserts. This is why our Bracher’s Pear Salad is a beautiful pairing for our culinary enthusiasts.

The Bracher’s Pear Salad is a base of mixed greens with arugula topped with fresh, locally grown pears and candied walnuts that support the salad greens to ensure they are not overpowered by the intense mint flavor. Blue cheese crumbles add a bit of saltiness while the lemon vinaigrette adds a bit of sweet and sour that together tango across the mouth for a wonderful fresh meal.
